ORIGIN
Heavyweight cotton, cut with intent and built to outlast the season it was made in. No drops. No logos. No expiry date.
The pieces we will always make. Restocked continuously, never discontinued, never altered without a stated reason.
View collectionNothing here expires in September.
A seasonal colour story builds an expiry date into a garment. We would rather build a wardrobe you can still replace in five years.
Read the argumentWhy we settled on 480 GSM
Three years, eleven development weights, and a rack of ruined fleece to arrive at a single number.
Below 400 GSM a brushed loopback hood collapses within a week and never recovers. Above 520 the garment stops moving with the body and takes two days to dry. 480 is the point where four separate requirements stop fighting each other.

View allFourteen people, one floor, and every pattern we have ever cut.
The studio occupies the top floor of a 1930s textile building in Marvila, on the eastern edge of Lisbon. The building made shirting for sixty years before it made nothing at all for thirty.
One wall holds every pattern ORIGIN has cut, including the retired ones — roughly four hundred pieces of card, hung by year. It exists because a pattern you cannot find is a pattern you will redraw badly. When a customer writes to say a five-year-old jacket has failed at the shoulder, we can pull the original card and know within an hour whether it was our error or ordinary wear.
